Saw XI
Having watched most of the Saw series of films, I went to see the final installment recently. It was the same theme as usual, traps, gore, people put in horrible situations. All due to them not being good people in the eyes of the perpetrator “Jigsaw”. Even though he has long since died, he has a protegé who carries out his wishes on people that continue to annoy him. It was a pretty good film, quite well thought out and tied a few loose ends. I wouldn’t say I have particularly enjoyed the series but they have been entertaining and different. I think the genre has been exhausted after 6 films, and I think the makers know this. However, credit them for milking the success of a one-off success story from 2004. All in all, a decent film – 6/10.
